Seattle Dentist | Sleep Train Foster Kids Pajama Bowl 2016
Our team at Amato Dental Group participated in Sleep Train Foster Kids Pajama Bowl at Acme Bowl in Tukwila on April 24th. Sleep Train’s 11th annual Pajama Bowl was a striking success raising nearly $169,000 to help local foster kids! There were hundreds of pajama-clad bowlers filling up bowling allies in Oregon & Washington.
The LeCuyer & Amato team brought our 12th man pride and wore our Seahawks gear. It was a fun Sunday morning together while raising money for a great cause.
Funds raised by Pajama Bowl participants will go directly to 14 non-profit foster organizations to support “little wishes” programs that fund activities like dance classes, school field trips, sports teams, music lessons and summer camp.
“Foster kids often miss out on important activities due to lack of funding, so Pajama Bowl focuses on providing opportunities for foster kids to join in,” said Gina Davis, vice president of Sleep Train Marketing. “Thanks to all of the generous families, organizations and businesses who fundraised for the event, we’ll be able to provide even more opportunities this year for foster children to participate in the activities that helped shape us all into well-rounded successful adults.”
“I’ve heard Sleep Train’s phrase ‘not everyone can be a foster parent but everyone can help a foster child’ many times. I think of my Grandparents when I hear that because throughout their 50+ year marriage the provided a home to 77 foster kids while raising 6 children of their own.” ~Jill V. at Amato Dental Group.
